Sim racing to the extreme.......

Have you every read Carroll Smith's 'Drive to Win'? Really great book
and very in-depth, I'm stuck into it at the moment. I also have 'Tune to
Win', I really want to setup that Lotus better.

Carroll has explained to me that I can't be a professional driver
though, he says I can't drink and I must take exercise!!! All I wanted
was another pint......

I'll stick to sim racing.

Scott (Cracking open another beer ;-))))

That's it barkeep... cut him off! ;-) No more Newcastle for you!

On a more serious note, Scott, have you found anything in Carroll's
books that you've successfully applied to your GPL setups??

Lots of stuff:

differential settings
the 6-degree "sweet spot" for traction
weight transfer during corner entry/apex/exit

for these alone it would have been worth the $26 to get it. Add in
confirmation of all the things I knew, but didn't know I knew, and the book
is a real bargain!

Last time I talked to Carroll Smith he had new booklet that was made as
a reference book, perfect for GPL. It had section with problems and
suggested fixes like "slow exit oversteer - less arb" etc. Really easy
to navigate, and handy to position next to your PC:)
Yes, It applies to GPL. Dunno if the book is available yet, though...
