I'm surprised not to see more discussion on SCGT.  I've become quite
***ed to this game and still have found only limited web pages and the
like on this game.  Heck, I went out and poured over $100 in a Thrustmaster
pro wheel just to play it.  Anyone else playing this and have tips on
customizing/racing etc?

One particular thing I've run into is the difficulty settings.  When you set
the difficulty settings way up on the races, their cars (supposedly
unmodified??) go WAY faster than yours.  I've come up with a way to get
around this, but it seems like the designers took a lot of liberties in
making the IA more difficult by just giving them faster cars.

discuss this sim with alot of other people.  PLus they have lots of mods and
dowloads, like new cars.

The AI cars are woefull around corners. Although they accelerate faster you
should generally be faster at the end of a long straight. What they gain on the
swing they lose on the roundabout (if that is how the saying goes!). Difficulty
with SCGT is you can't save your setting to put on a website and download as a
file.

SCGT is an terrific game as long as you get tweak the AI to increase corner
speed. OTherwise a little practice and hot bits on your car and you will beat
them every time.

As your car gets more powerfull you can add more wing without losing too much
top end speed. I have found that stiff suspension and thick roll bars help on
most tracks.

Actually, in career mode your car is only slower when you haven't upgraded,
when it is maxed out, it is quite competitive.  By the way, I  love the
game, I just wish the AI was a little better in the corners.
