I have added some car dash patches recently to GPL and now all that happens
is that I get "Track cannot be loaded" when I attempt to start a session.

Then it says "cancelling the weekend" and throws me out.

Can anyone help?

Yes - uninstall the dashes...<g>
Seriously, I don't know WHY that happens(file corruption?) but that should fix
the immediate problem. Try a different fileset.

If I remember correctly, this problem came up when using a high res dash
on a Voodoo 2 or 3 that couldn't handle the size of the textures.

Yes? No? Maybe?

Correct. I had to use the GPLEA lo-res***pits when I had a Voodoo 2.

What graphics card have you got?

If you're using the GPLSF dashes some don't work on Voodoo cards. Read
the readme for that info.

Also, try removing everything from the particular car foolder **except
the dat file** and put things in one at a time to work out what's
causing the corruption. (I usually find it's a bad 3do file and d/ling
it again sorts it out)
