My house is going through it's mid-life crisis, and in about a month will be
getting it's version of a new Sports Car to make it feel better (i.e. new
Vynil Siding, Windows, Shutters, Gutters, Patio Door, Garage Door, etc...).
For the last 12 years my Goldens have had access to their Kennel through a
dog door inserted in the Sliding-Patio door. It works well, but limits the
sliding of the door by 1/2, and since the new door I'm putting in is going
to cost $1800 I really wanted to find another way.
I talked to the contractor, and we decided to put a through-the-wall Doggy
Door in the side of the house beside the patio door.
I've looked around, and the best door I've been able to find is the Hale Pet
Door. It's quite expensive (around $375) but looks well made and because of
it's design does not require any framing to be done.
Has anyone ever seen or used one of these ?

Research seems to indicate it's the best on the market.
Thanks!
