Can I get opinions on a safe overclocking rate to go to on a Voodoo3 PCI
WITHOUT an additional fan.  (My PC already has 1)   Thanks in advance.

Increase the clock in SMALL increments 5mhz or less, is it a 2000?

Increase and test..  as soon as u see gfx glitches, or sys locks up,
anything out of the norm, turn it back 2 mhz

I don't have a PCI V3 card here sorry, but I do have an AGP card. I
cannot imagine that one gets much hotter than the other?

My V3 card is a 2000 which runs by default at 143Mhz, mine is running
happily at 175Mhz.

Personally, I have one fan on the cpu, one fan on the psu, and two fans
on the V3 card, and I have the PC case off, just to make sure they don't
overheat. but, I overclock everything!!!

PC fans cost about 5.00 each in the UK, so they are dirt cheap, why
risk your system for the sake of 5.00?

You may be able to overclock the card without a fan, but why risk it?

Martyn,
a long way to go if you crank up 5mhz each time. I recommend some bigger steps
like 5MHz

Jens
Sorry, couldn't resist :-)

He was making a joke about your units.  Small "m" is normally "milli" while
large "M" is normally "mega".  5 millihertz would be a very small increase
indeed. :-)
