NASCAR; is there supposed to be an announcer?

In the 'Sounds' menu in NASCAR it mentions announcer. The only time I hear
an announcer is when you first start the game. I have a Pro Audio Spectrum
and I get the car sounds but that's it. No Music, No announcer.
Any ideas?

That is exactly what there was supposed to be. The announcer was orignially
supposed to be included, but it was removed in the retail version. Look for it
in an expansion pack, hopefully with all of the other tracks.
