Last night on the telly about 8pm ITV there was a Sunday Times advert
about their sports writing. In it was a 5ish second clip of GP2 in
SVGA.
It showed a starting grid with the caption "viewing Damon" and then a
moving shot of a Williams going round a bend from a very close up camera
angle. The detail was stunning, I almost fell out of the chair
grappling with the remote for the video. (I didn't catch it in time).
The only sad thing about the ad was that the game appeared to be running
at about 6 fps. From the recent demos of GP2 at various shows this must
have been an older beta or running on a slow machine - still it was a
huge suprise to see it.
