Thrustmaster Wheel conversion to PSX

by smar » Fri, 24 Jul 1998 04:00:00

Hi,

I wanted to connect my thrustmaster Grand Prix 1 on my Playstation

I used an old PSX gamester wheel (to take the electronics which works good)
I connect #3 pin of TM GP1 on X1 pin of PSX circuit  (originally, X1 pin
was connected to a 10 kOhms potentiometer)

Finally my TM GP1 works with my playstation but I have many problems :

When I turn wheel to the right, cars in all games turns to the left and
vice-versa
When I calibrate in games, I cannot use all the range
Perhaps, it's because pots in PSX gamester is 10 kOhms and Pots in GP1 is
100kOhms
then , how to fix this problem ?

Can you help me, please ?

Please could you detail what you did to get to where you are more exactly. I
would love to have a go at this. Where did you get the parts and what are they
called? Is there a web site that would help?
Thanks in advance....
Paul
