rec.autos.simulators

I've been looking at buying a new computer system (so I can run N2, and future
 games). A local computer shop has a Jaton Blaze 3D 4meg video card in thier
 high end P2 266 machine.  Has anyone ever heard of this company and are thier
 products any good.  They have a web page (www.jaton.com) and some impressive
 test results but, numbers in tests can be swayed to make any point you want...

I've never heard of this company but if thier claims are real, looks like a
 pretty fair card.  Non-rendition, though very fast in other areas.

It's either this system or a Dell P2 266, 8meg AGP millinium II, Awe64, Altec
 surround sound, ect. ect.

I'm just a little skeptical over mail order. That and the 3 week lead time
 (bummer)

I try to stick with well know names. I have a p233 mmx Dell system, 32 mb
sdram, it came with the millinium II card, which I swapped out with the
rendition card I had in my old system. I have been extremely pleased with
this system, and highly recommend Dell. I'm sure the same can be said of
Micron and Gateway as well. I wouldn't let the video card determine which
system I get, you can always custom configure your system with the above 3
companies, get the parts you want.
