you post to another series' mail list, please ask the series director for

directors.**
**NOTE - ENTRY DEADLINE - JANUARY 22, 1999**
Drivers:
Well, the 1999 World Series of Internet Short Track Racing (OFFLINE
SERIES) will be taking place from February 5 through February 13, 1999. This
is a nine-night asphalt short track series, taking place at the newly-"built"
New Smyrna Speedway, thanks to Chas Bornemann. The three divisions will be N1
Outlaw Late Models, N2 Late Model Stock Cars, and N2 Modifieds (based on the
e-mails I received, this was the winning choice by a *very* narrow margin).
Car data files for the N2 divisions will be posted as well. The rules are
complete; drivers will be able to set their own opponent strengths according
to their abilities and the rule book. Car sets will be available after the
entry deadline as they need to be put together. The tracks for both N1 and N2
are in a beta-test stage basically, but are available for download. The
completed versions will be ready in time for the Series. If you want to test
the tracks, they are available through the "Files" page at the site below.
Currently, the track can be used in N2/1999, but not yet with the Trucks. We
haven't made the *.ttg or rectrk.txt files yet; besides, we're not running a
Truck division this year at the World Series. The track does work with the
cars, though.

Special thanks to Carl Culp and Tim Kellebrew for the help in
putting the World Series together!
