Please help with dxdzfix program

by William Dahm » Sat, 14 Mar 1998 04:00:00

I finally found this program thanx to the help of people in this
NG.  But I can't seem to get it working.  I cut and pasted the two lines
of stuff from the readme into a dos window with the folder that
dxdzfix.exe is in.  I ran the thing and it said copying dinput.new
searching for (some numbers) replacing with (more numbers), then I hit
enter again to run the second line of stuff, it asks me if I want to
overwrite? I say yes, it says 1 file copied.
When I run a program, however, the deadzone is still there!  Please
help me run this program correctly, I want F1RS without that huge
deadzone.  Thanx
L8er

p.s. yes, I have my wheel set up as "wheel" in the win 95 control panel
and the deadzone is definitely still there

Sorry, I can't help you...I've run DXDZFIX too, and it helped with a
couple of other games, but not the F1RS demo.

I've set up my TSW as both a wheel and a joystick, and I still have
about 120 degrees of dead zone...it's ridiculous.  This is on the demo
dated 11/24/97.  I won't buy the game (even though it's REALLY pretty)
until I can get this fixed.
