He is either a rich, lazy kid or just simply stupid!!!  I learned PC's by
***.  Hardware conflicts, device drivers and networking.  I now do it for
a living.  Learn well it is a great way to get a back ground in all aspects
of the PC industry.  Internet included.

Because of the mix of hardware out there I feel the game companies do a
great job of providing a widely compatible product.  An example would be
buying car parts.  You wouldn't go to the ford dealer to buy anything for a
chevy.  Same thing.  The software companies provide video drivers for 10
different manufactures and varying graphics level so the games can be run at
multiple hardware levels.  Just find it interesting.

Obviously you must be feeling mighty proud about yourself.  Not everyone can
pick up on computer jargon as others.  Everyone has different abilities.

Very true, I started when my dad brought home a 8086 with CGA graphics and
512K mem!. Wow what a machine. It all comes from experience and learning
from our mistakes. I once put in some mem chips (dil package) to upgrade the
PC to 640K and put them in the wrong way round!, poof, lots of smoke and one
pissed of dad!!..
