Has anybody had any experience with Toca2 and the act Labs Force RS? I
tried to get this combination working on a friend's machine. I did the
calibration, etc. When I got to the starting grid, the wheel began
shaking ***ly and didn't subside at all after the race started,
making it almost impossible to control the car. In addition, things like
the rumble strips didn't seem to produce any feedback unless it was just
overwhelmed by the other shaking going on.
I haven't found any FF controls in the game itself.

Any ideas?

You need to use the newer driver for the Force RS. Download them from
www.actlab.com (under tech support).

Follow the instructions carefully - it is a good idea to un-install
the old driver first.
