I've just gone under the 3:30 barrier and all I can say is WOOOO HOOOO
It feels SOOOoooooooooo........ good.
Anyone tell me how to go quicker?
I'm through the Masta Kink at 160-165. Is that slow?

A few things is to try and maintain your speed through the corner, even if
it means going a bit slower into it. This is key at all tracks but at Spa
you can gain much more time by beeing that tiny bit slower in so you keep
control of the car till the exit.
And at Masta that sounds about right, but I'm sure you could get through
quicker. Brake really early for that and start to accelerate again right
away. Just watch out for the houses :-)

My best at Spa with the Ferrari is 3m17.9. I know my friend Wolfgang
Woeger has managed to clock a 3m15.x, how he did that I'll never know.
Take a look at http://gpl.gamesmania.com to see the top times.
I usually run through at around 175-180mph. This is, however, after 6
months of practice and repeated intimate moments with the surrounding
houses :-)
Basically I don't brake here, I just lift at the point where the groove
darkens. I also turn in very early for both apexes, and as a result I
run very close to the grass bank and the barrier in each part. This
strategy is pretty quick but also means a lot of crashes.
160-165 is fine in racing. If you can keep it consistent you should find
that you finish quite high up in races as others try to take it faster
and come to grief. I've thrown away many a race here :-)
Look at some replays. It really helped me to understand where I was
losing time.

Yeah, the famous wolfie... I met him on VROC at the glen once, and now
the track record is a whooping 1:04 with HIS name on it... thanks WW

That being said, you do get excellent study material from saving the replay.

He let me have the first position and then he passed me, on the
outside!, in the Loop. He let me through, and did the same thing
again, again, and again. Close racing, and fun! Of course he won, what
do you expect. But you've to consider the fact that the 1.04 lap was
inclusive passing and waiting for me!
