Hasbro has a full page ad in the back of this weeks Autosport magazine for
artists and programmers for their upcoming sim with Geoff Crammond.

I don't know if I would really buy a sim with Geoff Crammond in it.
What would one do with him.......send him off to design racing sims?
Sort of "Sim Sim", huh?! :o)

Right - Crammond has decided he wont finish the game by christmas so
they've dumped him and started looking for people to finish it. The
BC3K phenomena.

geoff is still involved.  But why advertise for programmers in the back of a
motorsports mag unless hes perhaps looking for the guys who design the
actual engine management/telemetry software for the racing cars????  which
sounds quite cool....

I'd imagine as they mention Geoff Crammond by name they're just looking
for coders and artists with F1/motorsport leanings in order to get a team
with a definite bias towards the subject matter. Is it any cooincidence
that programmers/artists in games companies tend to work on the genres
they like the most as opposed to any old project that comes along?

As for BC3K that's a whole world of "don't go there". To explain the
respective sides of that particular argument would take weeks and in any
case isn't the situation even if Hasbro have fired Geoff, which it
appears they haven't.

Sounds interesting. It appears that they want to get multiplayer sorted
out for GP3, and that they want mindblowing graphics (seeing as they are
apparently replacing whoever did the already excellent gfx for GP2).

Shame it sounds like they are doing a PSX version... I hope they don't
compromise the PC version because of it!!

same reason why we all post here, you get the desired audience, if not you
advertise everywhere you can! I also saw the add in a PC magazine.

And where exactly do you extrapolate that from? They're looking for artists
and programmers, they haven't mentioned in what roles and who, if anyone,
they're replacing and why. Perhaps they're just increasing the size of the
team in order to accomodate the PSX version.

Doubtful... they know the market for the PC sim and the PSX will be made
like the PSX version of MGPRS2 I suspect.

Good point. Sorry, I started foaming at the mouth with the advent of any
concrete evidence of GP3.
