Gubbels in the Division 2 race for the LFGPL (French GPL Championship) next
Friday. The race is a half Grand Prix at Zandvoort (45 laps, realistic
damage, no shift-r) using a BRM(*).
This year a requirement was added to the rules regarding substitutions,
ruling out our regular subs: the replacement driver must have a certain
"absolute speed". We agree this a silly rule, but it can't be helped or got
around, so here are the requirements.
-you must be available to race on Friday 27/2 between 9.30pm CET (8.30pm UK,
3.30pm EST) and about midnight CET (11pm UK, 6pm EST).
- you must be willing to go through a fairly elaborate registration
procedure beforehand. As a sub, however, contrary to indications on the site
and in the confirmation e-mails you _don't_ have to pay the membership fee
to the FFSCA. After the race you will also be required to fill out a race
report form on the LFGPL site (multiple choice via drop down lists).
- the sum of your personal bests (any chassis) at Monaco, Rouen and Watkins
Glen must be between 4m26s and 4m29s and be verifiable on GPLRank.
- some knowledge of French is a bonus with regard to registration, chat
before and after the race and the race report.
As the points system is heavily slanted towards finishing, we're looking for
someone in the speed brackett with a good finishing record and plenty of
online experience. So, if you're *this* quick, enjoy competitive clean
racing, are avaible and want to help out, please step forward in reply to
this message or mail to jan *dot* verschueren *at* pandora *dot* be
Thank you for your attention,
Jan Verschueren, on behalf of Team Vibra2.

(*)Rem.: LFGPL is a team competition where at any particular race all team
members must use the same chassis. Teams also have to use each chassis in
GPL twice in the course of the 14+1 race season. Vibra2 has elected to use
the BRM for this race.
We know other teams will field faster chassis, so it's important the
substitute driver does not take any unnecessary risks to get or stay ahead
of a rival team driver. First priority is to complete at least 80% and,
preferably, 100% of the race distance.
