I don't know if anyone will care to know this but...
I was using my headset in WIN95 last night talking to my buddy about
racing in N2. I quit the modem application (thinking the modem would
disconnect) but just happened to leave the speakerphone box open as I
quit WIN95 to start N2 in DOS. LO AND BEHOLD...what happened?...We
started N2 and I noticed that my headset was still working...I was
talking to him through my headset while in N2 running in DOS. He
doesn't have a headset yet (we're going to get him one today during
lunch), so I don't know if he could have talked through and heard me
through his. It may not be the correct way to do it, but I could be on
my way to using my headset while racing him. It's a Hayes compatible
voice/data modem (33.6). My WIN95 modem application is Quicklink
Message Center.
Was it just a fluke? Can I duplicate this feat again?...stay tuned.
