Hey,

Dammit, I cannot for the life of me get much speed out of my car at
Talladega!  I run constant 187s, NO higher.  Just for info, I enter T1
at 188, exit T2 at 177, enter T3 at 195, and exit T4 at 181.  The aero
settings are all the way down (or up, with air dam) and still either
have horrid acceleration, or lose too much speed in the turns.

Comments or suggestions, anyone?  Please?!

Not sure what version you're running....

Make sure auto-brake is OFF!!
rear spoiler 40
front spoiler 5" (not available in Nascar2)
all tires 60 psi

These four are the most critical. Even if the rest of the settings
aren't perfect you should get 193-194 lap speeds at 70 degrees.

And make sure you NEVER lift off the gas...

You must be running at 120 degrees, try running at 70 degs like the rest
of us, never lift of the gas and just steer as smooth as silk without
porpusing through the turns. You should be able to run 195s without any
trouble by the third lap.

Steve,
Guess I assumed that the pedal would be on the floor! :)  We should also
mention the keyboard is a bad idea for controls, a 386 20/mhz is not
conducive to fast laps, and never calibrate with the gas pedal all the
way to the floor.
