When I press Alt-F I get two small numbers up in the left hand side of
the frame. It appears to be the frame rate, but I'm not sure. does
anyone know? Most of the time it says 30(30). but some times it's 25
(30), or 30(31), or something else. It kind of wavers like frame rate,
but I've seen it as low as 9 (15) on my P2 400 V3 3000. Is it frame rate
or what?

Thanks guys, it's still not as much fun as GPl though

It is the frame rate. i think the 1st bracket is current fps, i myself have
received low #s on my p2 450 w/ ulta 770. the visuals looked to be the same
no matter what the #s said.

Yes it is the framerate. It is showing maximum FPS and in quotes it is
showing the minimum FPS (on average).
I too am getting around 30/30 at 1024x768 with both my duel Voodoo 2s
and my Matrox G400

g400 is used for 2d
the v2's are used for 3d
your hardware guy is an idiot :)
the v2's and the g400 don't work together, but they coexist. When in win98,
the g400 is being used, whtn you fire up a game, the v2's go to work.

Ya, trust me they can exist. I had the Duel Voodoo 2s and a Rage Fury and
ditched the Fury for a G-400. They work fine. There is no reason that they
wouldn't. The Voodoo 2s are add on boards and work with just about any card.
It works and works great. trust me. I will even send you a pic of the
inside of my machine if you want. :)
