Sports Car GT: Where do I get modifications?

I've heard from games shops and read in r.a.s. that you can modify SCGT to
become a pure simulations and add extra cars.  I've found some extra cars on
various websites which I've downloaded - mostly American ALMS cars, etc.

Could someone please tell me some good sources of this "sim patch" and other
goodies?  I'd like some extra GT3/GTQ cars to add to the basic level for
starters - all I can find is Porsche 911 GT3 cars!  Has anyone done the GT3
cars we have in the British Sportscar series? - Marcos Mantara, Harrier,
etc.

Go to the above url and get Advopt.zip, that's the file that gives you
simulation mode. The below are a couple more sites for various files.

The utility you want is the 'Advanced Options Editor.'  This still won't
provide you with GPL level driving, but it does raise the bar somewhat for
SCGT.
Speedsims.com  should have it and probably the uspits as well.
as far as the extra Brit cars...I can't say...there are so many sites with
different
types, ya just have to poke around some....I have seen Morris Minor Mini's
and other older British cars but I don't know if thats what your looking
for.

One thing about the Advopt patch. Does it also affect the AI cars or
does it just make your own car a bit harder to drive?

The patch did add some extra realism, the thing that seems to happen is its
harder to slide round corners like you can in the original and that the back
end swaps round under heavy braking.

No, the idea was to add some extra authentic GT3/GTO class cars to the field
other than the ubiquitous 911 GT3.  In the British GT Championship we have
lots of other cars such as Marcos Mantaras and Harrier-type cars (usually
kit built sportscars).
