No friends up there ? You should. Still, we spend more time watching
hockey and drinking beer than be racing fans ;)   .  That's mainly why
all you "rednecks" (heh!) don't really like us.  Still there's also
Frenchs and English person up here.

<ironic> And as all the English canadians love to hear:
Vive le Qubec libre !
</ironic>

BTW let's all get against people that will put the BGN tracks on their
webpages. Let's support Papyrus for making us all those great games.
Illegal tracks are now pretty difficult to found if we look out 1month
ago.  We have to continue this way.  Thanks a lot,

With great respect,

Hey!  Now I resent that remark!  We Canadians are amoungst the
friendliest people around, even to rude Americans!  ; )

I imagine it should be released about the same time up here, right?
(Give or take a few days/weeks)

Huh ? No smarties in the U.S ??? You all miss something.  They are
100times better than M&M's and add some cool color to your hands :) .
Actually, I was impressed by your knowledge of what is really happening
in Canada for someone that lives in the 'States.  If there's no Civil
War here in Canada, it's mainly because we fight with words.  We are
only 7million french speaking vs. 20Millions English. Fair disavantage.
We don't want to get involved in a war. We are a "pro-peace" country.

Also, we don't get in a civil war because most of the English speaking
people don't care that we stay or not (I'm a fervent separatist btw).
They know that we will have our own country. In 3, 10, 50years.  But
it's sure we will. The FLQ (Front de Libration du Qubec) was a
extremist party that did some "semi-terrorist" attempts in English
cities of Quebec for all you that want to know.  Oh yeah and I think
JVilleneuve would won against Tracy. Except if Paul does a stupid act
like to go the wrong way of the track in a attemp to kiil him ;)

It's funny because most of the Americans don't even know that 7million
people speak french up in the cold north.  One day they will woke up and
CNN will tell them that a new country in the Border of the U.S. has been
created.  Oh well...  I will dream all my life of this day.  Thanks a
lot and I hope I informed all of you a little bit more on what is
happening in the supposed "best country in the world". (and the paradise
of Hockey also!).

At the risk of angering *both* sides of the debate -- whether you're
pro or anti separation, I think it's liikely to happen eventually.
The reality is that (a) the last vote was incredibly close and (b) it
appears it will take only one oui, even with more nons before. (In
other words, it's not best two of three or three of five.)

Yup, we are really disadvantaged there. Every time I cross the border,
I load up. I was in Presque Isle, Maine on  work recently, crossed the
border into NB, stopped at an Irving Mart, and got a REALLY odd look
when I picked up 100 boxes of Smarties.

Many thanks. I wear out the browser at Canoe.com and lots of other
places... though I think the CBC is really sinking.

Yup. No doubt about that.

No dispute re JV and Tracy. Tracy couldn't change JV's tires -- and
he'd misthread them  if he tried.  :)

I hope for a common market sort of thing between Quebec and Anglo
Canada. Economically, I think you need each other -- politically, the
societies are so far apart it's incredible that they have survived
together so long... and I think it's a tribute to the people of both
socieies, Francophone and Anglo. Separate nations wiith economic
partnership is the best future,  I think,   and I do believe it will
eventually happen.

Yup.... and  lots more who think Canada is a nation of frozen tundra,
when the vast majority of its people live in cities, as cosmpolitan as
most American cities, and more so than lots of ours, in fact.

You're welcome. And - despite being a Red Wings fan --- I miss the
Forum. I got a tour of the locker room on draft day a few years ago,
and saw the famous picture of all the heroes. It was quite a moment.
And it's just wrong that the last classic arena in the NHL belong to
those putrid Maple Leafs. :)

I wish we saw more about Canadian motor racing down here.... though
here in upstate New York, we get to see some  of the Quebec short
track racing. :)

I was in the local Electronics Boutique (I live just outside Toronto)
yesterday (Oct 23). They did not have the track pack yet... when I asked the
clerk said it should be there by now, and to just check back in a couple of
days.  They had both the Formula T2 wheel and the new Thrustmaster NASCAR
wheel, and both were $179.95... which is what I paid for my T2 umm... wow
has it really been 2 years?.. ago.

They did have Soda in, it was $62.99.

I am hoping to find the Grand National track pack this weekend somewhere...

I disagree. When Quebecers realise the true price of seperation -
i.e., when they eventually recognize the *reality* that the rest of
Canada WILL NOT cut them a sweetheart seperation deal - they will give
it up. If not that the fact that the city of Montreal will not
seperate with them will be quite discouraging (they would almost
certainly also lose a large part of current Quebec to the Indians, who
would also choose not to seperate).

You have to remember that the French are the greatest complainers in
the world. They know that complaining continuously, loudly, and always
threatening seperation is the best way to get influence (and $) from
Ottawa.

It was great to see Jacques Villeneuve win on Sunday!  Schumi sure
tried to knock him out though! (Schumi didn't help to improve the
image of F1, while the world was watching, with that move).  Anyway,
motorsports has sure grown in popularity in Canada in the past few
years.  Even NASCAR is very popular here, just a couple of months ago
I read a article about NASCAR in the newspaper on a Wednesday.  Not
too long ago, we were even lucky to get results from a NASCAR race!
it's a great time to be a sim-racer and a race fan!

Later,
John
