Nascar trucks.....Question from the UK

Was the nascar truck racing an addon for N3 or a stand alone product?
In the real world , Is truck racing held as regular as the normal racing? do
the engine types, tyres, restrictor plate rules etc all apply?

It was an add-on. Now unavailable according to Sierra.

It's held regularly during the normal Spring-Fall season. Not as many races as
Winston Cup or Busch, but then it's a smaller, younger series still gaining
momentum.

No restrictor plates at the one superspeedway (Daytona) race held each year
since the trucks have such poor aerodynamics compared to the cars. Don't know
nothing about the engines or tires. Someone else can fill that in... :)

Sierra sells it now in a package that includes Nascar 3, Nascar Legends, And
the Craftsman Truck Series. Gotta buy all 3 or nothing even if you already
have one of the 3 What a rip!  I just ran into that and I found someone in
this group who had the standalone disk and sold it to me. They must be
trying to dump all their old product at once now that Nascar 4 has come out.

Not anymore unless you find it on some special sale. N3 19.99, Accelleration
pak 39.99 to 49.99 here in Texas.

Nascar trucks.....Question from the UK

The truck series is intended to be a stepping stone to the Busch and Winston
Cup series. The trucks are built on the same chassis as the BGN and WC cars
with a higher and shorter, in length, roof section. I'm not sure about the
weight requirements (minimum weight) but I think they are required to weigh
3400 lbs (US). The engines and tires are the same as the Winston Cup
division. The trucks are so aerodynamically disadvantaged that they are
limited as to how fast they can go. The trucks can run flat out at tracks
like Michigan and California and drafting is a big part of the racing at
these tracks. I have watched Jack Sprague practice at South Boston Speedway
and these trucks are nothing to laugh at. They are unbelievably loud and
low. Sprague was covering some serious ground at SBS. I grew up watching
races at South Boston Speedway, so I know what is fast there and that truck
was hauling ass. The trucks will be at SBS in September and I will
definitely be there.

Some of the truck races I have seen are some of the most amazing races I
have seen.

I remember seeing my first truck race on TV and Louisville I think it was
and those guys were banging and bashing and knocking each other all over the
place.

It was a awesome race to watch.

Too bad they do not race there anymore

. The trucks are so aerodynamically disadvantaged that they are limited as
to how fast they can go. The trucks can run flat out at tracks

So are these traits reflected in the add on?
Also, was Nascar Legends an add-on or a Stand alone?

Nascar Legends was a stand alone...it too is available in the 3pack of
N3/NL/CTS(trucks)  which is called The Acceleration pak.  You might find NL
on ebay but I don't think too many places stock it these days.  The uspits,
whenever they get back up...have a 1970ish  Trans AM patch for NL.
(Barracuda's, Mustangs, Camaro's, Javelin's)
