Newbie needs advice - What to buy - Where to begin?

by Alan Mitche » Mon, 10 Feb 1997 04:00:00

I hope its appropriate here for someone who just discovered this sport to
ask for some overall pointers. I've read the incredible 'Hard Drive'
article in this month's WIRED
    http://www.racesimcentral.net/
and been subscribed to this newsgroup for several weeks. By the way, thank
you Michael E. Carver for the keeping current this newsgroup's FAQ. It is
clearly written, to the point and most helpful.

Described in terms of 'Beginner', 'Intermediate', and, 'Advanced' - what
hardware/software will I need to own in order to participate in the Hawaii
and Nascar Online racing. I have both Mac & Windows available, so the
operating system is a non-issue here.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions,

Alan Mitchell
