I've a question on the patch for N2.
I installed the patch no problem but the last modification gave me an
error message...

-applying modify patch for Atlanta.dat-
 error ept0015   old file does not exist

What does this mean...?

I guess you have a minimal install. The patch modifies some of the track
DAT files which are not copied over to the HD with a minimal install.
You'll have to do a full install.

The changes to the DAT files only effect some of the 4-bit Rendition
textures, so it really doesn't matter if they are done or not.

You modified the Atlanta.txt. Copy it from the CD and redo the patch.

Actually, once again Sierra has "overkilled" with their "easy" approach
to this.  With a minimum install one only needs to copy the *.dat files
for 3 tracks (Atlanta, Night C***te, and Day Bristol).  While you're
at it make sure you have the original atlanta.txt file from the CD-ROM
also.
