I look at it this way, the purpose of fastlaps was not just to beat the
best times, it was to built cars that would hold the lines over and over
in a race. When push comes to shove I'll be glad I spent the time doing it
because(as everyone knows) the real good drivers start in the back <G>.
Everyone thinks we can qual but can our cars hold up, I run 188 michigan
quals and 30 laps later was still running 186.5's and if Dave has anything
to say about it by the time the NRO is going it will be 187's after 60
laps. It does pay to learn how to qual real fast just for the sake of
missing the swinging idiots that are sure to come, kinda like a dega with
36 people in it, 8 finish. Not to mention it's a challenge and a half
trying to beat Pat Dotson and Jure what's his name, my compliments guys
you put up some great times.

P.S. Let's get some more drivers trying their hand at fastlaps, it's
pretty damn ***ive.

-- Well, most average drivers are a little intimidated, I believe, by
some of the times posted,,,and if you cant beat em, why embarrass
yourself >?? I have talked to one or two who feel this way. not all of
us have the time for all the practice that goes into those times....or
the machine and control systems to obtain them. heck, I dont even have a
pentium, just an AMD5x86x75 pci board, with svga generic video card, so
I feel quite a bit hampered right now. my best lap ever was in a 50%
Talladega race at 103% AI...
had a 196.475...and normally cant come close to it. by the way, I'm
definitely not flaming you, I just wish I could make it to that
level...hehehe  :)  maybe soon...
