You must use capital letters ( or upper case ) for the codes to work. So
try using the shift key when typing in the codes.

Hi.... I read all the code messages in this news group.. and I tried
everyone of them.. but doesn't seem to work...?? is there any minimum
requirements to enable these codes??? Does the code has to be typed
in the name section?? Does every code has to start with EAC and
follow by a space?? Do I have to win a tournment to be able to use the
code??? Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But the problem is... it still doesn't work!!!! for example.. I
tryied to use the 800 hp car.. and the code I think is "EAC POWR" and
I typed in and nothing is changed..!! So are other codes..!! they
don't work for me!!!!!

You have to win a tournament at class A to get it to work.

If you can't be bothered, download the patch from my web page

It'll patch your game so the codes will work

I'm having the same problem. I'm presuming that you do have to get onto
the bonus track to be able to use the codes. However, 'Foxman's need for
speed web page' does have a patch that enables the bonus track before
you have won all the tournament races. I have the file but am going to
wait until I have at least tried in earnest to win the tournament before
resorting to that! The web page address is

Yep, that's right; you have to win the tournament to get the codes. Win it
once and get the bonus track, win it twice and you'll get the codes.

That's not entirely true. If you win the tournament once, the codes
don't show up on the last page of the credits, but they still work.

Yeah, the codes certainly work without having to complete any
championship or anything - but beware THEY ARE CASE SENSITIVE.
The issue is confused further becuase when you type them in
(in the PLAYER'S NAME section) all the letters come out as
upper case! However, genuine capitals (ie the ones you pressed
SHIFT with) come out SLIGHTLY larger than all the others.

I think that in general, you need to SHIFT the first letter of
each word, so that it comes out in BIG capitals.

Say, what codes are these??? Can someone post them.

On a side note, when we got this game last week we played it a couple
of hours w/ no problem. But now when we go to play, the graphics
(scenerey) gets totally hosed & shows a lot of colors. Yet, all of
the preceding screens are ok. Does anyone have any ideas?

I've got a 486 66/ diamond card (ISA though). I have also tried
running that UNIVEBE thang too. I've even deleted & reinstalled
(thinking a file must hosed). I've still got the same symptoms.

Actually, you can use many cheats at a time. Just put them all in with
a space in between.
