Computer engine simulation?

by Rob Templeto » Sat, 08 Sep 2001 08:13:34

I'm looking to do the SHRA guys a favor and write a whole new drag racing
game from the ground up. The physics engine is no problem - I've got some
basic stuff going and car driving physics stuff is everywhere. Engines,
however, have stumped me, and since I have no money to buy an engine
simulator, I've got to write one myself. If memory serves me correctly, SAE
has some stuff on this, right? Or if anyone else could help me, that'd be
great.
Thanks in advance.

Wait around for 5 mins and Iam sure Mr Wasson will come to your rescue, he
has a very nice engine simulator for doing just what you need I think :O)

Thanks, Carol :-)  Unfortunately, engine simulation techniques aren't
something I'm planning on sharing with anyone at this time.  Sorry to be a
poophead about it, but I'm sure you might understand why :-)
