Strange thing in new NASCAR 2 patch...

by Joeri Co » Fri, 16 May 1997 04:00:00

When I installed the patch-to-the-patch and tried it, it looked great.
However, the responsiveness of my Formula T2 steering unit has messed up.
Steering works great, but the throttle and the brake act weird: if I push
the throttle about 90%, I get about 10% throttle in the game. The remaining
90% is all added in the last 10% of physical movement of the pedal. Can you
follow me? :) The brake acts the same as the throttle by the way.

Of course I recalibrated the wheel, and no, I am *not* running from Windows
95, just plain old DOS 6.22.

Has anybody else experienced this? It's really no fun because it's almost
impossible to be gentle on the throttle this way...

Thanks for any help.

Btw: very cool Papy for being this fast in patching the patch! (Even though
it's not working like it should for me, I really appreciate the fact that
you guys are doing all you can to get this sim *perfect*!)

I have a regular joystick, not a T2, however, The responsiveness of my
joystick is to sensitive.  If I move the joystick to the Right just a
little it seems to stick and is  hard to keep from spinning.  I wish I'd
never installed the second patch.  It's been nothing but trouble.

Have you tried re-calibrating your joystick?

Why wish?  Just re-install the thing.  Gee, that takes about 10 minutes,
probably less time than it took for you to post this message.  Or you could
waste a wish.

Then reinstall an older version of N2...
