Possible fix for timing problem in GPL

by Chris Har » Fri, 16 Jul 1999 04:00:00

Hi,

I installed the patch yesterday and immediately noticed that the car
just seemed sluggish compared to driving pre-patch. It wasn't a choppy
framerate - just slow.
I'm using a P3 500, 3dfx and Logitech Wingman FF. If I run a Direct3d
game that uses FF effects (I'm using Sportscar GT) and then switch to
GPL - everything is fine(faster) - i.e. I get FF + real time (as far as
I can tell).
If I boot up and go straight into GPL - then I get the slowmotion
effect.
Sorry if someone has already posted this suggestion.
Does it work for anyone else with the same problem?

Chris

p.s. Sorry if this doesn't make much sense, but its late and I've just
been wrestling my Ferrari around Silverstone! :-)
