If your interested in the 4400, which does have the higher cache, might want
to grab one while you can, as AMD is discontinuing them in favor of the
lesser expense lower cache chips, to compete with Intel.
I am using the X2 4400+ with good success.
Now, the only racing sim I have used it with so far, is NR2003 - I had some
issues, but it was associated with my Audigy2 ZS soundcard evidently, I
would get a screeching F1 sound if I paused the sim, and then my system
would lock up shortly after.
I installed a new X-FI Extreme Music a couple hours ago, and so far, so
good, have not had any lockups or wierd sounds.

I do believe, all the X2 4400+ chips, have the higher 1mb cache.
