thought some of you computer guru's could give me some insight. I have a
sony cdu-926s burner that has been discontinued for about a year now. I've
always used 74 min/650 meg disks for backup of important stuff, ie gpl
setups and replay files. I borrowed a 80min/700 meg disk to make a copy of
Mandrake 8.0 iso file. The file is about 660 megs in size. I did a speed
test and it only did 645.9 megs. Can older burners use the full 700 megs or
am I stuck at 650? Is that what they call over-burning to use the rest of
the 50 megs? If someone could give me a quick explanation or point to me to
a good web page discussing it. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
