GP2 "JOY"stick ?? HELP !

by cyberor » Wed, 14 May 1997 04:00:00

Can anybody help me out with this one?

My joystick has to be calibrated each time I start GP2.
This I can live with, but about half the time the calibration function
itself doesn't work properly.

When I try to calibrate it I see the red ball onscreen acting strangely
unlike the joystick I wield (sometimes it won't go up at all), after
which I get the message " insufficient joystick range, joystick NOT
calibrated".

Sometimes after trying a couple of times suddenly calibrating works
properly and I can play, sometimes not. This joystick (a Logitech
Wingman Warrior) works fine with every other game I own, and I have a
friend who has experienced similar problems with his Thrustmaster
controller. Sometimes re-starting works, sometimes it doesn't.

There is no difference whether I run the game in MS-DOS or under Win95.
I run GP2 on a Cyrix P166+ with 48MB ram and a Diamond Stealth 3D card.

Please explain what I'm doing wrong ?

When you exit from GP2, are you opting to save your changes?
