F1RC - manual gear change?

Ok, it's probably me and having just finished a 10 hour stint trying to
recover an NT Server at work, but how do I get manual gear selection
to work in F1RC?

I've changed the setting to "Pro" mode but I still get auto shifting.

Click on the little icon that looks like and equalizer display on the main
menu screen - it's at the bottom middle, next to the computer icon.
Manual/auto gear setting (and others) are on the screen that follows.

It's right there where you describe it.  No idea why I didn't find it last
night.
