Looking for this track for GPL (don't think it has been done for any game
though).
Tried the link at GPL++, which leads to "back Stretch", but could'nt get the
file.
Does anybody know another one ?

Well, here in Berlin is one, and it is currently Omega-tested by
commuters.
The northcurve banking is missing, though, and the U-turns of the 1959
8km version plus the shorter final 4km version are blocked.

Didn't the Berlin wall literally go through the track?

No, never. AVUS was/is completely in West-Berlin.
The wall (actually the border to the GDR at Dreilinden) was still at
least a mile away even from the old southern U-turn of the original
19km version, which was at Nikolassee.

Hopefully I get the chance to take an onboard video of AVUS before I
leave Berlin again. It's not as straight as it looks.
Is still somebody working at AVUS, or was it abandoned?
