NFS Record Standards Needed

by Martin Urs » Sun, 22 Oct 1995 04:00:00

Since NFS has been released we've all seen a big frenzy in trying
to post our fastest times on r.a.sim.  Unfortunately there may be two
messages out at the same time claiming the fastest times for a certain
segment or track.  With all the other messages on this group, things get
lost!  We need a more orderly and clear system.  (If the following has
already been set up, then inform me and hurry up!)
I propose a standardized record sheet posted and updated weekly
on this newsgroup.  Top times for a segment, track with information about
lap times, car model, et cetera et cetera...  Whenever you think you
break a record, you send E-mail to the coordinator who compares your time
with those already established.  If it's a record breaker, a replay is
asked for (no replay, no record).
Quite primitive, but also quite simple!  All we need is a
coordinator!  Anyone up for it?  Anyone up for the job of verifying any
records broken by the coordinator?
