hello all.

i am stunned and shocked and frightened by today's events.  I fear
that all of us in some way or another will be affected directly or
indirectly by today's tragic events.

I hope and pray that all of you and your loved ones are safe and
sound.  I realise that I wish this to all people in the affected
cities, but in this ng, i especially mean the community i've come to
accept as common souls.

I hope that the businesses and institutions hardest hit are able to
recover and support the survivors and mostly I hope that the origin /
perpetrators of this deed are exposed and dealt with harshly.

i am thousands of miles away and feel barely able to deal with this
attack on human dignity and can't imagine what it must be like for
people living in the US.

My thoughts and prayers lie with you and yours and I hope that through
Gods grace & the dedication of the rescue workers, the further loss of
lives can be reduced in the coming hours.

Some have not.

It may be many weeks before we known who won't be coming home. The vast
number that are certain to be "Missing and presumed. . ." is going to be
tremendous. Here in NYS I expect this to directly touch nearly everyone.
The WTC held, on any given day, a number of people nearly equal to the
entire population of my entire city.
