In my latest edition of Stock Car Racing magizine i noticed plans for the new
Route 66 Speedway were finalized.  Apparently an IRL and some form of NASCAR
event wiil be held here.  Also they have an artists rendering and it looks as
if it will be very close to Las Vegas.  It looks as if making this track for
N2/N99 and ICR2/CART or N3 when it comes out will be fairly easy.  I dont have
info concerning banking though so that would be the only question mark in
making this track.  Anyone interrested in attempting this e-mail me and ill
send you a scanned copy of the picture.

Too bad the CART boys wont be running on it. :)  They will be running at the
Sportsman Park one-mile oval in Cicero, IL (for those of you unaware, Cicero
is one of the inner rings of burbs that basically ***up against
Chicago...Joilet where Route 66 Speedway is, is basically way out in momo
land.).  Chicago needed a big time racing event, personally I'd rather
they'd run a true GP downtown along Lake Shore Drive...oh my, but two major
ovals?  Ugh.
