The NASS ONLINE SERIES originated in 1995, and continues to thrive as
one of the
premier online leagues today. Comprised of 4 distinct divisions (Pro,
Lightning, Charger, and Thunder), NASS Online has it's own dedicated
password protected server (so you can be assured of quality bandwidth for
our online races) up and running hosting our weekly events utilizing
NR2002 (just switched to NR2002 last week) by Papyrus. At this point in time
we are currently accepting
applications for immediate openings in two of our three fixed set-up leagues
(Charger and Thunder).
All 4 divisions compete online each week, following the actual WC race
schedule from February through November, and utilize exact weather settings
recorded at the drop of the green flag for each NASCAR Winston Cup race. The
races in our Thunder and Charger divisions usually fall in the 35 to 45%
range for race length. Our Thunder (entry level) Division competes on
Thursday evenings, while our Charger division competes on Monday evenings
(visit http://www.racesimcentral.net/
***-Zine).
Each race night is comprised of a 90 minute practice session from
7:50pm-9:20pm EST followed by standard qualifying, a 5 minute warm-up
session and the actual event. We run realistic Damage, yellow flags and
double-file start/restarts.
We are looking for dedicated, courteous and consistently clean racers
who know WHEN to race hard and when to give the position. Please feel free
to visit our Official web site (www.nasscar.com/online) and browse around
(don't skip
the "Stats" link ... we could do some pretty good "name dropping" based upon
past and present NASS competitors) to get a feel for what the NASS ONLINE
SERIES has to offer. We take our Simulation Stockcar racing seriously ...
but make it a point to have a heck of a lot of fun along the way.
If you think the NASS ONLINE SERIES looks appealing ... please visit our
"application" page (www.nasscar.com/nass_signup.html) and submit the
necessary information. All drivers who are accepted into NASS ONLINE (during
this open application period) will receive "provisional points" (these
points would be 3 points less than the last place finisher) for the races
which have already been held this season. This will allow any and all new
additions an opportunity to race for our Season Championship Points battle.
Ask around ... the NASS ONLINE SERIES has a rich and positive
reputation. For the right competitors looking for a new (or another) racing
home, we have a great group of standing members who make our four Divisions
a joy (but still a great challenge) to compete in.
