Well Nascar Heat is another Stock Car title. It came out in the Summer of
2000 and was the first of the modern sims based on advanced physics
handling. It does not have quite the sophisticated model that N4 has, but
is a big step up. NH was built by a spinoff group(Monster Games Inc <MGI>)
that left Papyrus about 3 or 4 years ago. Their first title was Viper
Racing.
Nascar Heat has a different focus than the Papyrus Nascar Sims. They have
included about 20 'canned' situations....called Beat the Heat. for example,
your in 4th with 3 laps to go...can you get on the podium before the race
ends. And another section that features ghost car laps driven with Heat by
REAL Winston Cup racers.
Not a bad effort, although most over at the N4 newsgroup will rate it a
couple of notches below N4....and ....apparently quite patchable...
