I thought it a bit much at first, but now, I mostly don't notice. I've got
it at 90% too. Maybe it's the "smoothing" effect of my LCD. :)

Its your lucky day, as a matter of it does and then some. It has slow
and fast bump damping AND slow and fast rebound damping. :)

I don't know what GPL era shocks were like, but I'm pretty sure the
available settings on NASCAR regulation shocks are pretty much as-is
in N2003.

I haven't tried any of those games. I do know that setting up a TA car
at Goetzenberg is an excercise in frustration. Which do you prefer;
traction out of the slow corners, or decent control (and speed) in the
esses. Dual rate shocks would, in theory, allow both. )The TA mod
would also benefit, IMO, by allowing rear roll bars stiffer than the 1"
limit now in effect.)
modern TA-class are. The spring and damping rates are quite high, and
there is very little body roll or pitch. The car is on (bumpy) rails.
Even with the stiff suspension, softer high speed damping allows the
tires to maintain good road contact. (As I understand it.)
