 Hi all,
I wanted to give ECCI credit for making a very impressive
product. I have been looking for a new wheel and had read all the comments
here regarding the various brands. I finally decided Friday on the ECCI
CDS2 and placed my order with Andy. By Wednesday I had their hefty boxes.
You know I usually open things very carefully as more often than not I have
to return things as they are not up to advertised quality. Well after I
opened the first box and unwrapped the wheel I pretty much tore open the
second box as I knew this was definitely a keeper. It hooked right up and
after the usual Win95 calibration I began driving. Man this thing is nice!!
It is so smooth and accurate. I really like how you can easily adjust the
lock to lock range from 170 to 240 degrees in seconds. there is also
various spring resistance adjustments. It came set up at 76lbs. settings
which seem fine for now. It also included some springs which can be used in
various combinations to achieve many additional tensions. The pedal unit
feel great and with the adjustable heel rest its possible to get a very
comfortable  feel also the brake pedal offers a nice progressive feel. I
had to take the cover off of the steering unit to have a peek at why this
thing felt so solid and smooth. All I can say is wow! The stainless cover
is beautiful but they really should make one out of clear Plexiglas just to
show off the inside of this thing. Solid machined billet aluminum work
floored me. The use of ball bearings in critical areas contribute to make
this wheel so smooth and with their twin cam system as I said the
adjustment of lock to lock is not only easy to do but feels very realistic
( progressive). All in all I am so happy, I know I will never need to buy
another wheel as this will definitely last a lifetime. I just wanted to
thank all the guys here that sent me E-mail when I had questions about this
wheel as well as others and to give credit to ECCI for making such a fine
quality product. You dont see workmanship like this everyday believe me.
Aloha, Mike

Oops Im sorry, They are Extreme Competition Controls Inc. Here is the URL:
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/extreme/
 Also their phone # (612) 824-6733 I originally E-mailed John Pribble at

The other person who helped me with my phone order was Andy Cer
You know my post just couldn't describe how great this wheel is. I wish
there was someway for anyone thinking of getting one to feel the smooth
solid action of this controller. The solid billet steering column and ball
bearing support makes it so nice. I mentioned the adjustable in lbs. spring
resistance off the twin cam. Well these are set up like a fine rocker
arm/spring assembly you would find in a high performance engine. And this
steering unit weighs like 25lbs. No need for any clamping and the dang
thing looks & feels so good with its brushed stainless finish and suede
leather wheel wrap! All I can say is if your wanting a wheel that is going
to last a lifetime & looks as good as it feels check this CDS2 out.  It
comes with a 30 day satisfaction garantee believe me you wont be sending it
back!
BTW: I am a building contractor but I also have some experience in a lot of
shop related work. The reason I didn't buy any other of the top of the line
wheels is I knew I could build the same thing in my garage/shop. Well there
is no way I could build this puppy! If I sub out the Cad work and bought
all the materials just to make this would easily cost me twice as much!
                                                                CHECK it
out!! Cya, Mike
