We just got Speedvision out here in the sticks of jersey.

So I have to go online to cehck out the time for the F1 race this AM.
BINGO! for one of the first times in my love of the sport I can catch a LIVE
race!!! excellent I think as I plan my strategy for getting chores done.

I finish everything up by 10:30 and am playing with the Son and dog when my
wife pops out back with her jacket ready to go shopping for all those things
we "need".  I just started a new job that has left me stressed and busy
(added a 2 hours commute per day so ther isnt a lot of time left at home
during hte week )  SO I figure some quality time with the family is a good
thing I can tape the race and pretend its live - besides, since I have had
SPEEDVISION I notice its about 50% commercials anyway.

We get back at 2PM when the race is over, but I have my tape, which I notice
is popped out ofthe VCR a sure sign the tape ended. I think "nah, she would
have made sure that there was enogh tape I told her it was at least 2 hours
of racing"  SO I get my coke and chips, settle in and have to FF through a
million epsiodes of Friends  - sit through all the pre-race stuff and then I
get my start.............

7 to 10 laps later and 2 commercial breaks the tape stops and rewind - there
wasnt enough tape.... I alomst cried as I sat down at the PC to start up
F12K and see If I could beat Mika as well as I saw the ferrari doing on
TV...... I havent decided if I need to be a good sport about his or not.

DirecTV? If so the FOX Sports channels will be reairing it over and over again
throughout the week. I'm going to tape it tommorrow since it conflicted with
the Bristol WC race.

DC's been DQ'd. MS hasn't. So Jenson becomes the youngest *ever* F1
point scorer!

I'm hearin' you buddy! The race was aired live here in Australia at
3:00 am, which I wasn't willing to stay up for. Set the VCR to record
it, and made sure that the VCR clock was set right. (How many times
has that caught you out?)

Get up in the morning to watch the race, only to find that nothing has
happened. The damn clock was set right, only problem was that the DATE
was wrong! The clock was set one day into the future, and now I read
on the Net that it was a pretty damn good race with some actual
overtaking on the track.

Anyone living in Melb. (west suburbs) willing to loan me a tape? Not a
happy camper at the moment....
