F1RS Time Attack - Flawed or not?

Firstly may I say I love both GP2 and and F1RS - pick the bones out of
that statement!

Although GP2 had faults it was - no still is a very good sim. with
some good attributes.  F1RS is also a very good sim. with some equally
good attributes, but............

Whilst I agree with all that's been said about this sim. in race mode,
my preference is to run in Test mode i.e. like winter testing.  I know
I can do this in F1RS by using Time Attack but this has three big
flaws:

1. I do not start in the pits nor do I finish in the pits (picky I
Know)

2. I cannot alter the amount of fuel. (I want to see how the car
handles on differing amounts of fuel outside of a race weekend)

3. This mode does not induce tyre wear. (I want to try different
setups and monitor tyre wear with varying amounts of fuel also outside
of a race weekend)

As this game call's itself a sim the above points are rather a let
down.  All the teams are currently away testing and I'm sure
experiencing tyre wear probably whilst trying various amounts of fuel.

Does anybody else feel this way or is it just me?

It would have been nice to have these three items as a choice in Time
Attack...I know that Time Attack is not supposed to be used to set the
car up but thats what Im doing and it works great.

But they are not using a ghost to do it. So the game is realistic in
this regard, you just don't appreciate it :-)

This allows you to pass the finish line at max speed, so your first lap will
count.  If you start in the pits, the time on your first lap is meaningless.

This is correct.  You can't do this without changing your setup fuel amount.

True also.  I believe the training option has fuel usage and tire wear, but
I'm not sure.  Also, I'm not sure if you get the nice lap time info in
training mode.

Definitely not a let down for me.  A truly awesome sim.  I haven't touched
CPR since getting this sim.

I, too, am frustrated by the inability to change fuel load or have tire
wear in Time Attack mode.  Maybe a "Winter Testing" option in the next
patch, Ubi Soft?
