When running this game (on p2 233) I am experiencing frequent glitchy
graphics, sometimes so bad that it is impossible to play the game.
I do not have a 3d card but the computer is well above the manufacturers
minimum requirements without the 3d. does anyone have any ideas what my
prob may be.

Try the DPMRA 98 RAC BTCC Challenge.

If running in software mode, I believe the most important factor is
resolution. Try using low res.
However, better get a 3D card. Even Voodoo1 will make a great difference.
