I got a Saitek R4 digital wheel. I really like it cos it`s shaped like an F1
wheel with paddles and gear lever options. When I set it up in windows it
does flicker unfortunately, even when calibrating in a game (gpl or
whatever) when pressing the brake pedal the calibration bar will flicker so
I find I have to press it down hard so it will register the max setting.
Have had a lot of probs in F1 2000 especially when braking and gearing down
for a sharp corner quickly, it will often spike to one side so I have to set
the deadzone pretty high to try to eliminate this. It has 3 switch settings
one of which is analogue and is usually more stable in it although you don`t
get the benefit of feathering of speed by braking with the hammer all the
way down which is obviously useful.
I dont know what other people experience with their hardware but would be
keen to hear for sure. Anyway theres one opinion for you.
