Is there an Opel GT in ANY game?

Just wondering...given that my girlfriend just bought a black one on
eBay...if anyone's ever seen an Opel GT in a game as-shipped (unlikely) or
programmed in by users (more likely but still small chance).

Hey, I used to own one of those. There aren't too many cars these days with
a plywood floor :-)

One of the prettiest cars ever made, Opel has a rep for building good
looking and affordable coupes (with humble underpinnings :-), can't say
I've ever seen one in a game though....

Check in SCGT (at Speedsims or Race Sim Central) forums...I know they have some
of the newer Opels and MSC-Eddie has a historic cars site....

Amen to that.  She (we :) have been looking for an Opel GT for quite some
time now; she's always wanted one (her parents each owned one when they were
new!) but never thought she'd get one.  Then I told her there was probably
at least two on eBay, and, well... ;)

We knew of at least two in town...one that was for sale (out of the budget
but a nice car) and another that I'd seen a while back.  Then, just a few
days ago...we saw not one, but TWO in one day.  Gorgeous little cars.  And
everything I've read (along with the little bits of simulating I've done,
hehehe) says that they should go like hell with even the mildest of the
Mazda RX-7 rotary engines...which make over double the power of the stock
1.9L four...while weighing less, lowering the center of gravity, and tossing
in a nice 5-speed overdrive transmission to sweeten the deal even more.

I don't even want to know what a 2000lb GT would be like with a 300hp
tweaked-out two-rotor...wait...yes I do :D

Ya SCGT has quite a few.

Mika has a 1968 six car set under MSC- Eddie.

And I think there were some older ones I've got on a burned disc somewhere.
If I can only find it... Maybe I better get back to you on that one.

No need to get that elaborate about it, I own an Opel myself, 86 Manta,
which came with the fuel injected 2.0 L engine, but it's basically still
the same engine even though it only shares a few parts, like the crank,
but I took it to a certain Herr Mantzel in Germany, of Mantzel Opel
tuning, and it's now sporting a nice 2.7 liters, the 1.9 will go to 2.6

I chose the mildest tune though so it only has 175HP (bags of torque
though), but you get them up to about 250, and while that old cast iron
engine is no mechanical masterpiece, it's still a decent engine (for
it's time), and in a car like the GT I'd try to retain as much of the
originality as possible

I take my car to local track events and it's always amusing to chase
M3's and Cosworth's around the track only to have their owners casually
strolling by my car later on taking a peek under the hood.......and it
looks 100% original, I even have the original air filter housing in
place (concealing a K&N insert :-), if you look *really* close you can
see a little sticker from Mantzel though, "Achtung, spezial
motor"....:-)

Q-cars, I love them....:-)

Beers and cheers
