Hmm well...

On the first lap on the alpha preview I did a 1:25 with the GP car. After a
couple of laps I did an 1:11, and in a week I easily went under 1:10 and
made constant 1:09 laps.

The average driver from what I saw with the GPL board, fastlap and here on
r.a.s. is that they can do constant 1:15 at the Glen.

With the preview I had I had a setup that could do constant 1:07 at the Glen
for 20laps.

I would guess constant 1:10 and under is a good point to target.  So there's
a lot of work on your way ;-)

I would suggest that you check out the track guide on
http://www.racesimcentral.net/;Also check out Edwin's GPL website (at the
gamestats link section) . There's a pretty big track guide that will easily
learn you go get at least under 1:20.

How did you change the set-up with the preview, my best at the Glen is
1:08.18 and I the only thing
I changed was the "Linear<---->Non Linear" setting in the controls setup,
set this all the way left.

Can you change anything else to improve times?

Hi Richard, I'd be interested to know what kind of ADSL package you're
getting.
In my area it costs $40 / mo for the slowest package (256kB/s), which was
alright,
except then I learned there was a $120 setup fee, $180 for a required pci
card,
and you have to sign a 1 year subscription.  Is yours comparable?

Don't worry about the 'show-offs' or the 'hot-lappers'.  If you can
keep working on your time, you'll get faster. Right now I'm still
getting the feel of all the tracks and cars.

Getting ADSL next week, so I may see if I can
set up a league server. :)
