How do I restart a race in GPL? I'm not talking about Shift-R which places
you back on the track, I want to totally restart a race, like in Nascar
Racing. I can't find this information anywhere. Thanks.

Hi!

If you hit "ESC" during the race and confirm with "ENTER", you quit the
race and are placed in the pits. If you now click on the red button you
are asked if you want to save the training results. Click on "Yes". If
you then select the same race again, you are asked if you want to use
this saved training times. Confirm with "Yes" and the race starts
immedeately with the 29 seconds countdown and with your car placed on
the same grid position than before.

If you retire from the race and then quit out of it (hitting the red flag
button), you will be given the option of saving the qualifying results.
Answer "yes". Then the next time you start a race on this circuit you will
be asked if you want to load the saved qualifying results. Again, answer
"yes". You will now be back on the starting grid just like before.

You exit (hit Escape and then Enter) then respond "No" to the pop-up asking
if you want to save the practise times. This will take you out to the
circuit menu so you simply click on the green button again to start the
sequence over.

Well that means you have to requalify. I think he wants to restart with the
same grid settings.

No...you don't need to re-qualify if you have previously saved a practice
session....thus the reason for me saying to select "NO" when asked if you
want to save the session in this instance.

Once you have completed a practice period it can be saved and re-used over
and over again for the race....so long as you don't save over it.
