Nascar 2 3Dfx: fog? What fog?

by Jeroen van Engelenhove » Thu, 19 Mar 1998 04:00:00

I've got a P200 MMX Righteous 3D system and Nascar2 3Dfx works great (after
some puzzling though). Only the fog doesn't work. When I run the game I get
some sort of 'not enough room in enviroment' message in DOS  (it's Dutch on
my computer so don't ask me what it would be exactly in English!). The game
still loads and works, 3Dfx and all, (in DOS as well as in Win95) but no
fog! Anybody got a solution?

Add something like
shell=c:\windows\command.com /e:1024 /p

to your config.sys ... should take care of the environment space running
out on you ...

This is the set command I use for fog and it's pretty good at that
setting.
SET N2FXFOG=0.10

You are running out of environment space though so the set commands
are not loading. You need to add the following line to your config.sys
file with the directory pointing to the copy of command.com you use.

shell=c:\dos\command.com /p /e:1024
