Ed,

Barring NRL when that gets up and running, is it going to be possible to
run entire seasons with a modem partner?  If possible I think this would
be a great enhancement to Nascar.  I race the season against another guy
and I just wanna kick his ***in more than the point standings.

Here's hoping that your mouse finger isn't too sore from all that cut'n
and paste'n that you've had to do, because people just want to keep
kicking a dead horse.

Well, unfortunately I don't have the exact same modem you have, mine
is a SupraFAXModem 288 (not Prug n'Pray), which is a GREAT modem.
Try the following init string:

ATZ^M~~~&Q0 %C0^M

The things that look like 0's are zeros; the things after the first ^M
are tilde's (upper case thing beside the "1" key).  You may want to force
9600 baud by adding an "S37=9" before the second ^M.  This sometimes makes
for a more reliable connection.  Have your opponent use this parameter
as well if he's dialling you.

Good luck....

I believe that championship seasons via modem are in the NCR 2 design.

You need to use Supra's software to get the modem to work in dos. (you
were talking about using it with Hawaii, right?) It took me awhile to get
it to work, but I did. You need Supra's ICU program & WTM. Check their
websight or BBS. Can't remember where I got it. Then you have to set it
up for dos. After you get the software and still can't get it to work,
email me and I'll give you a hand.....
